I'm Jean, a Literacy Specialist specializing in structured literacy with a focus on decoding, fluency, comprehension, and executive functioning.

 

I work with a variety of learning profiles to develop stronger readers and writers through personalized lesson plans. Each lesson begins with diagnostic assessments such as the PAST, WADE, or GE to pinpoint specific challenges. Overall instruction is designed to build confidence and reinforce core literacy skills.

 

Certified in Orton Gillingham and trained in the Wilson Reading System, I draw on over 25 years of experience in independent schools. I provide private, in-home tutoring for families throughout the Bay Area.
